An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic qualified Family Therapist to work in a CAMHS Team within the London Borough of Bexley. We seek to appoint an able and enthusiastic child & adolescent family therapistto provide a specialist service for young people in Bexley as part of our Generic Team. You will work with children and adolescents up to 18 years and their families/carers, with significant and enduring mental health difficulties.
You will be asked to undertake a range of CAMHS assessments and evidence based systemic interventions with a commitment to CYP-IAPT principles. You will have the opportunity to be part of a Family Therapy Clinic and will also be part of a multi-disciplinary team. Experience of CAMHS is desirable. You’ll be supervised and supported by a Senior Family Therapist from within the team. You will provide the systemic work within the teams and manage a complex caseload. Part of the post involves working as care coordinator in a multi-disciplinary team including; psychiatry, psychology, family therapy, nursing, occupational therapists and support staff, in close partnership with partner agencies working with young people in Bexley. You will offer specialist advice and support to professional colleagues both internal and external to the Trust.
The post holder will have a Masters or Doctorate level qualification in Systemic Psychotherapy, with experience in a CAMHS setting. You will have excellent therapeutic skills and be able to be responsive and flexible in working with young people.
