Full-Time Mid / Senior Data Scientist
Job Description
Our client is an international organisation that helps marketing, operations, IT, and research teams measure, predict, and influence customer behaviour across the physical and digital world. Their cloud-based software platform helps venues visualize trends from digital and physical data in a single system of record. Bolstered by the stability and transparency that come from being a public company to responsibly use technology to positively affect relationships between people and the places they visit.
They currently seek a UK based Data Scientist to join their passionate team of high-performance big data engineers, data scientists, product managers, strategists and software engineers giving you the opportunity to develop your skills and have exposure to multiple technologies and methodologies helping you become an expert in your area. You will be dealing with large Datasets on a regular basis, meaning you will need to have experience with some leading Big Data technologies (Scala being one of the leading technologies that you will work with), as well as Spark and Redshift. This is a fully remote role.
Skills
- Minimum 4 years’ experience as a Data Scientist (or in a similar role)
- Experience with natural language processing, deep learning, image processing, scalable system design
Below are some of the tools we use; you don’t need to be experienced with all of these; however, we look upon these skills favorably and expect you to pick them up as required.
- Strong SQL skills
- Strong Python skills
- Experience with visualization modules / tools (e.g., Matplotlib, Plotly, Tableau)
- Knowledge of docker / K8s / containerized technologies
- Knowledge of cloud technologies (in particular, AWS is desirable)
- Some experience with R or Scala
- Big Data experience (e.g., Scala, Spark, Kafka, Redshift)
- Experience with Machine Learning
