DevOps Engineer

A Global Insurance Company are looking a DevOps Engineer. This role will help to deploy and operate their cloud infrastructure and software, help automate and streamline our operations and processes, build and maintain tools for deployment, testing, monitoring, and operations and to troubleshoot and resolve issues in our dev, test, and production environments.

The key responsibilities for this role includes:

• Championing a ‘Shift Left’/’Test Early and Often’ culture across the organisation covering the delivery of projects and products.
• Advisory & Engagement. Partner with our product portfolio, engineering and development teams to ensure quality for a product/feature, assess risks and ensure features ship with a high-quality bar.
• Partner with our product portfolio, software engineering and development teams to leverage automation for scalable solutions to prevent manual regressions and ensure reliability of product..
• Support. Providing 3rd line support to our product portfolio, development and engineering teams.

The key experience and knowledge required for this role includes:

• Windows Server OS and features including IIS, Active Directory, DNS and DHCP
• Pipelines/Source Control – Azure DevOps, Bamboo, GIT (Desirable)
• Building and maintaining tools for deployment, testing, monitoring, and operations.
• Infrastructure migrations and upgrades
• Implementing IT security policies and procedures
• System and data recovery
• Automating manual operational tasks using the following: PowerShell
• System monitoring tools ie SCCM, Datadog etc
• MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL (Desirable)

This is a Permanent role working for a Global company as a DevOps Engineer.
