Full-Time Data Scientist (Senior Analyst)
Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Data Scientist (Senior Analyst) to join our established team based in Leeds.
What you’ll do
Development of new products and bespoke client services including batch services, predictive models and insight tools
Maturing our Google cloud based infrastructure as a platform for analytics
Assessing and adopting new analytical tools within Google Cloud
Supporting analytics users throughout the organisation
What experience you need
Good relevant commercial experience, or practical academic experience including a PhD
A natural coder, comfortable working with new tools and exploring different approaches
Good level of knowledge Python / SQL
Knowledge of analytics, data engineering and predictive modelling including some or all of:
Propensity modelling
Classification
Segmentation
Structuring data for rapid analytics and batch processing
Good working knowledge of statistics
Experienced working with large volumes of data
What could set you apart
Knowledge of R, Scala
Experience with Hive/Impala, and with Google Cloud
