Hexcel is currently seeking an IT Data Scientist for our Duxford, UK location.
The selected individual will be responsible for but not limited to the following obligations:
- Use data science to discover deeper insights, make predictions and generate recommendations in a complex Data environment to support business decisions and understand behaviour, as a key strategic focus
- Drive new insights and causality in our data to transform the clock speed of our Company
- Use Data Science to tackle business problems
- Translate technical content to a business audience in a way that delivers the most added value and to champion a data driven culture
- Technical lead in ML/AI
Qualifications/Pre-Requisites:
- BSc or MSc degree with an emphasis on one or more of the following data science: computer science, computer engineering, statistics, mathematics or equivalent quantitative studies.
- PhD would be an advantage but not essential
- Experience of working with the knowledge of R & Python (R preferred) and comfortable using SQL
- Experience in data visualisation
- Experience of Data Factory, Data Robot, Data Bricks
- Experience working in Agile environments (e.g. SCRUM teams) would be beneficial
- Fluent English language skills (written and verbal)
