For almost five decades, Elekta has been a leader in precision radiation medicine manufacturing radiotherapy solutions for cancer care and brain disorders. We are seeking a strong Cloud OPS Security Engineer to join our Cloud Team reporting to Cloud OPS Security Engineer. Will be responsible to provide product security expertise and guidance to Cloud architecture, monitoring, and access.
Summary:
Cloud Operations Security Engineer – an operational engineering resource with experience with systems security, identity & access management systems, and detection of cybersecurity incidents. This person will be responsible for:
Maintaining the secure configuration of the company’s Azure environment,
Operating Multifactor Authentication (MFA) services securely,
Responding to and resolving alerts and mitigating incidents.
The successful candidate will have the knowledge and personal skills to work collaboratively with all colleagues to resolve issues. The candidate will also need a strong understanding of Microsoft’s Share-responsibility Security Model and what that means for Elekta.
As a member of the cloud security team you will work with cloud operations and engineering teams to ensure execution of our overall security program. This is a fast-paced, regulated environment and part of your success will lie in your willingness to learn and drive change across the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Follow best practices for security processes with Azure (Cloud), Monitoring (SOC) and Access Control (MFA).
- Help engineering and Product Management teams identify security requirements
- Support product security process activities including threat modelling, cybersecurity reviews.
- Perform periodic security audits of all cloud operations, software, and hardware.
- Drive a standardized set of security product requirements into product and service offerings.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities for incident response with all WW cloud customers.
- Keep up to date on emerging cybersecurity technologies and trends to help other employees understand the critical role of cybersecurity in the development of our products

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate has strong azure security and systems experience and has worked with SOC and identity management and access control methodologies.
The requirements listed below are representative of the candidate’s required knowledge, skills and abilities. Employees must be able to read, speak, write, and comprehend the English language.
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education, and experience in information / cyber security, software engineering, computer science, etc.
- Excellent cyber security capabilities and strong software engineering skills
- Strong knowledge of secure software development lifecycle and practices such as threat modelling, security reviews, risk assessment, penetration tests, and security incident response
- Understanding of security by design principles and architecture level security concepts
- Experience in development of security controls for hardware and software.
- Medical device product security experience and regulatory compliance to FDA/MDD/MDR/HIPAA/GDPR a plus.
- 5+ years of combined experience in software engineering and cybersecurity related job roles, preferably in product security area.
- Up to date knowledge of current and emerging security threats and techniques for exploiting security vulnerabilities
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate diverse groups, help negotiate priorities, and resolve conflicts among project stakeholders
- Technical leadership experience in the software security field
- Experience and knowledge of penetration testing methodologies and tools
- Knowledge of automation tools and methodologies associated with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience developing and deploying digital signatures for secure communication, software images and updates a plus.
- Certifications in security and privacy demonstrating deep practical knowledge such as CSSLP or CISSP
- Ability to travel 10%
