The UK Sales Team is close-knit, collaborative and professional. Reporting to the Head of UK Sales, the Area Sales Manager for the North of England, Scotland and Ireland will be instrumental in building and developing key relationships with end users and Distribution Partners across the North of England, Scotland and Ireland.

You will be part of an exciting journey with a well run, principled organisation that has a clear strategy for growth. As an Area Sales Manager you will have an important role in ensuring that Vikan maintains and develops its position as the preferred supplier and partner in the UK market.

Your core remit will include responsibility for driving customer satisfaction through value led key account management, delivering a high level of customer support and nurturing strong relationships with distribution partners and end users, new and old.

Your role will be targeted with key strategic deliverables and you will be tasked with growing sales in line with agreed budgets. The business has embraced market leading technology solutions which enable the Sales Team to engage with customers in new and innovative ways, allowing you to support end users of Vikan products with ground breaking service levels. Supported by colleagues in the UK and wider European markets, you will target new business opportunities in sectors such as Food & Beverage, Food Retail, Facilities Management, Healthcare and Food Service.

The business is looking for a forward thinking, technology savvy and data driven individual with broad Account Management experience in a B2B enterprise who is focused on delivering a value adding sales solution to customers. Experience from a similar or affiliated industry sector would be highly desirable, and must be complemented by well developed commercial acumen and the ability to nurture long standing, mutually beneficial business relationships.

You’ll need to be an accomplished negotiator with drive and ambition to succeed in a sales focused role as well as possessing first rate communication skills in written and verbal form. This is a field based role covering the North of England, Scotland and Ireland, so you will need a driver’s license and good diary management skills.
