The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for a family therapist to join our innovative and dynamic clinical service in Croydon, working in the Children and Families Services. Within this role, you will provide clinical consultations to frontline staff, deliver therapeutic interventions, train and support reflective practice groups and contribute to our teaching offer.
Clinicians have the opportunity to work across Children’s Social Care and Early Help Services. You will also have the chance to be part of innovative service developments and the Croydon Family Therapy Academy, where you will be involved in delivering a foundation level systemic course to frontline staff.
Clinicians within our service represent various disciplines, including Systemic Psychotherapy, Clinical Psychology, Adult Mental Health practitioners, Forensic Psychology, and Emotional Wellbeing practitioners.
Croydon Children and Families Services are committed to Systemic practice and embedding that approach across the service. We are also looking for clinicians from diverse backgrounds who are creative, committed, and passionate about work with families, children and young people. The successful candidate will be a qualified family therapist who has experience in working with diverse client groups.

About You
We are looking for a family therapist, who is also:
- Passionate about working with children, young people and families
- Enjoys being part of developing a learning culture
- Appropriately qualified and registered in any of the following; professional fields; social work, psychology and other related fields.
- Post graduate qualification in systemic family therapy.
- Knowledge of developments regarding children’s social care and children who are looked after.
- Knowledge of relevant legislation, statutory guidance, standards and procedures.
- Knowledge of relevant theoretical frameworks, practice models and research findings.
- Knowledge of “outcomes” concepts, quality assurance methodology and change / project management techniques.
