Part-Time Engineering Manager, Control Platform

Position Overview:

We are seeking an Engineering Manager, Control Platform to serve a crucial role in evolving our customer service and configuration platforms. ​ As part of our accesso® Client Applications Group, you’ll contribute to developing applications that streamline our internal operations processes while empowering our customers with tooling to drive revenue and improve the guest experience. If you’ve ever peaked across a ticket counter and watched an attendant tap in your order or heaved a sigh of relief when customer service was able to move your event reservation, you have an idea of the types of interactions developed by the Client Applications Group. Additionally, we create the utilities our customers use to develop pricing models, affiliate sales, marketing strategies, and so much more.

The Engineering Manager, Control Platform is expected to lead a cross functional team of developers to deliver world class solutions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for hiring, coaching, and developing hands on with best-in-class engineers, while focusing on security, quality, and performance. Extensive experience with developing and leading teams building web applications at scale is key to being successful in this role.

Location: Florida; then, you choose what works for you! This role can be performed 100% remotely anywhere in Florida, at our Lake Mary, FL office location, or a hybrid version of in-office and remote.

Reports to: VP, Client Applications

Travel Requirement: Less than 10%

Responsibilities Include:

  • Leading highly talented engineering teams to deliver exceptional web applications
  • Commitment to developing high performance software at scale, with the experience to back it up
  • Striving for and encouraging software engineering teams to produce the highest quality code
  • Collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders from Design, Product, and Client Success to deliver key roadmap objectives
  • Leading scrum ceremonies and monitoring sprint dynamics to identify improvements

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of software engineering experience (5+ years web application development in JavaScript, specifically in AngularJS/Angular or similar modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue, etc.)
  • 3+ years of team leadership
  • Experience with internationalized web applications
  • Deep knowledge of Scrum/Agile methodologies
  • Previous experience with eCommerce web development
  • Experience with advanced deployment techniques and monitoring / tracking of high-volume web applications
  • Thrives in high growth, fast-paced environments
