Senior Scientist (21N/PMSS)
Due to further growth Randox require a Senior R&D Scientist to work on Clinical R&D product design/product improvement projects within our Clinical Chemistry division.
The Role:
Working as a Senior Scientist within the Clinical Chemistry R&D team and your primary responsibility will be the operation of traditional Clinical Chemistry instrumentation to generate assay performance data. This will be related to the range of Clinical Chemistry assays in the Randox product portfolio. You will complete testing following a standard design framework and associated SOP’s. Your projects may relate to the introduction of new diagnostic assays. Improvement of existing assays or the troubleshooting of external and internal product queries.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
- Preparation and presentation of R&D Design Reviews.
- Training of Staff and Randox Representatives.
- Completion of standard lab and office duties following established Lean principles.
- Accurate maintenance of R&D records.
- Accurate maintenance of R&D project management software.
- Working to timelines/deadlines as guided by the Clinical R&D Manager.
- Accurate recording and reporting of information relating to Key Performance Indicators.
- Accurate maintenance of Q Pulse workload.
The Candidate:
Essential Attributes:
- Qualified to degree level in a Science-related discipline or at least 3-years as a Scientist.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with an eye for detail and the ability to prioritise work in a logical fashion.
- Experience in Clinical Chemistry reagent applications.
Desirable Attributes:
- Experience in the use of project management software.
- Experience in standard computer applications.
- Experience in training of staff members.
- Experience/knowledge of Lean Principles
