Job Description

We are looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to join a Digital Banking Business. Due to expansion within the business, we are looking to continue growth by adding a DevOps Engineer to the team.

You will own the overall delivery for several products and services whilst leading a team of DevOps engineers of mixed ability. DevOps is key to ensuring that we can make the customers better off and push the use of technology further each and every day.

You will need experience across:

• Expert level developer (Python)
• Strong understanding of AWS and Python fundamentals and best practices
• Knowledge of VCS (including code reviews, GitFlow, release management)
• Experienced with AWS Well-Architected Frameworks

What will you be doing:

• Lead, build and support the development of enterprise-level millisecond-latency integrations and applications using Python and the AWS suite of services
• Ensure that the solutions developed and implemented are secure and robust, comply with best practice and regulatory requirements.
• Automate, optimise and improve current processes and ways of working
• Mentor, develop and support other members of the team.
• Management of team and resources to ensure projects are implemented on time
