Job Role Summary
The Data Science team of ExxonMobil Data & Systems Architecture (EDSA) has an immediate opening for a full-time Data Scientist. The Data Science team has a mission of developing end-to-end data science solutions to a wide range of topics. The data scientist will work closely with subject-matter-experts (SMEs), data engineers, and software engineers to develop and deploy innovative solutions to address business needs. The position will be located in Spring, Texas, and will report to the supervisor of the Data Science team.
Primary Job Functions
Work with SMEs to identify data science opportunities, conduct modeling and proof-concept work, and work with SMEs, data engineers, software engineers, machine learning engineers to develop and deploy production solution.
Job Requirements
- Master or Ph.D. in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Physics, or a related scientific discipline
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Strong expertise in at least one of the following areas: machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, statistical modeling; expertise with state-of-the-art algorithms, libraries, and platforms such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn.
- Familiarity with Software Development fundamentals, proficient programming skills in at least one of the following languages: Python, R, Matlab, C/C++ and has experience in container based approaches.
- Expertise in cloud computing is highly preferred.
